Ds1: Centraline qualità dell'aria - Bologna

Air quality data from 2017 to 2024, relating to the three monitoring stations located in the municipality of Bologna. The data were processed starting from those made available by ARPAE Emilia Romagna, which can be consulted at the following address.

The stations are the following:

1. Giardini Margherita
2. Via Chiarini
3. Porta San Felice

Ds2: parco circolante veicoli - Bologna

Circulating fleet of the Municipality of Bologna divided by postal code of residence of the owner.

For each postal code the quantities are indicated for:
• Reference year
• Fuel
• Owner age
• Euro standard
• Owner/company gender
• Vehicle age

The data are the result of an agreement between the Municipality of Bologna and ACI whose complete data are available on the pages

Ds3: public transportation per fuel type - Bologna

This dataset contains total urban vehicle fleet - Vehicles in actual service as of 12/31 of each year. Battery hybrids. with storage batteries to power the electric traction motor Diesel hybrids: the heat engine has the sole function of producing the energy needed to operate the electric traction motor without any battery intended for storage The Urban Service includes the Bologna Urban Service and the Other Municipalities Urban Service.

Ds4: number of passengers on public transportation - Bologna

This dataset contains information about number of passengers in the urban area of the municipality of Bologan. The dataset has numbers related to urban service and interurban service. The numbers shows the situation in 31/12 of every year

Ds5: Air quality survey 2024 - Milano

The dataset shows the data of the Daily Air Quality Report of the Municipality of Milan drawn up by AMAT, based on the data measured and validated daily by Arpa Lombardia from the institutional air quality stations present in the municipal territory.

These stations are as follows:

Ds6: Low emission buses used for local public transport - Milano

Low-emission buses used for local public transport - indicator per 100 buses and absolute value - Historical series

The dataset shows, starting from 2014, the low-emission buses used for local public transport in the Municipality of Milan (indicator per 100 buses used and absolute value).

Electric buses (hybrid or all-electric traction, including those powered by hydrogen with fuel cell technology) and gas-powered buses (with bi-fuel petrol/methane or petrol/LPG engine) are considered low-emission.

Dataset extrapolated from tables 7.1-7.2 Urban Mobility Istat.

Ds7: Buses used for local public transport by emission class - Milano

Buses used for local public transport by emission class - Percentage composition - Historical series

The dataset shows, starting from the year 2015, the buses used for local public transport in the municipality of Milan (percentage composition) by emission class (Euro 4 or lower, Euro 5, Euro 6).

Ds8: Annual passengers per inhabitant - Milano

TPL demand - Annual passengers per inhabitant - historical series

The dataset shows, starting from 2013, the demand for local public transport, quantified in annual passengers per inhabitant, in the Municipality of Milan

Ds9: Vehicle fleet 2004-2022 - Milano

The dataset includes the number of vehicles in circulation starting from 2004. The vehicles are divided into the following categories:

Mashup Datasets

In our study we have produced three Mashup datasets using nine datasets mentioned above.

MD1: Air quality and vehicle data for Bologna

This dataset is a Masuhp of datasets air quality and various vehicle data (power types of private vehicles, public transport buses efficiency, etc.) for Municipality of Bologna, between the years 2017-2024. The original datasets used for the mashup are DS1, 2, 3 & 4.

MD2: Air quality and vehicle data for Milan

This dataset is a Masuhp of datasets air quality and various vehicle data (power types of private vehicles, public transport buses efficiency, etc.) for Municipality of Milan, between the years 2017-2024. The original datasets used for the mashup are DS5, 6, 7, 8 & 9.

MDS1_2: Air quality and vehicle registration data per CAP for Bologna

This dataset is a Masuhp of air quality and registration of vehicles per CAP for Municipality of Bologna Datasets, between the years 2019-2024. The original datasets used for the mashup are DS1 and DS2.
